To what does Brabantio attribute Desdemona's affections for Othello?

In the opening scene of the play when Brabantio the father of Desdemona hears from Roderigo that his daughter has eloped with Othello the moor he is completely distraught and asks Roderigo:

"Are there

magic spells that can lead young virgins astray? Have

you ever heard of anything like that, Roderigo?"

The distraught Roderigo is convinced that his daughter is not at fault and that Othello the moor has used black magic to corrupt the mind of his innocent and obedient daughter to rebel against him.
