Is analytical criticism of Pride and Prejudice mostly about the character of Elizabeth or about the theme of pride and prejudice?

If you want the answer to your question, then carefully observe the title of the novel "Pride and Prejudice". As per my opinion - "Pride" clearly refers to Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy and "Prejudice" refers to Elizabeth (Sometimes called -- Ms. Eliz Bennet). Observe some points ------

* From the start of the story, Mr. Darcy began to show excessive pride, arrogance and unsocial behaviour.

* Throughout the story, Elizabeth always keeps on negative thoughts about Mr. Darcy – that is not actually true.

* As the story progresses, so does the relationship between Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy. The course of Elizabeth and Darcy's relationship is ultimately decided when Darcy overcomes his pride, and Elizabeth overcomes her prejudice, leading them both to surrender to their love for each other. – Source: Wikipedia.

                                  ANALYSIS

The story is about I mostly think is about the theme of pride and prejudice. It involves society-related matters, too. See how Mr. Darcy thinks poorly of the Bennet family and thatswhy, he was not first convinced that Mr. Bingley should marry Jane – later, he also plots to separate Jane from Mr. Bingley. It is a case of prejudice; pride is also intertwined because, Mr. Darcy is too proud and does not honor the middle-class state of the Bennet family. On the other counter; the female protagonist (of the story)-Elizabeth had untrue facts about Mr. Darcy’s character, which could be prevented if Mr. Darcy could have been more social. There are more other cases and proofs of “pride and prejudice” in the story and yet I conclude in this uncompleted manner. So, the story is actually all about the key-themes – pride and prejudice.
